Happy independent bookstore month!

The last Saturday in April is one of our favorite days, as it marks the celebration of Independent Bookstore Day. We had a blast celebrating last year on our Spring Street location, and this year will be even more fun.

More details will be coming soon, but you can expect tote bags, t-shirts, and other merch as well as a chance to get a free audiobook, and a chance to find the Golden Ticket and win 12 free audiobooks from our partner and huge indie bookshop supporter, Libro.fm.

Having a non-profit independent bookshop in Cookeville makes a definite impact. We're able to connect with the community, and the money raised goes back to the community. Current projects include the construction of our first Little Free Libraries, a project that will get community sponsored coloring books in the hands of every first grader, and of course we continue to donate books to the community. Through March, Plenty has distributed and donated over 2,100 books into the hands of readers, or to the library and other non-profit organizations since we started our outreach last year.

So please come celebrate Independent Bookstore Day with us on April 27th, and see for yourself the impact a bookshop can have on the community.
